There will be World Ranking Events 23.+24.2.08 in Torres Vedras and Regional Events 1.+2.3.08 in the north of Portugal.

At the moment we are 5 Austrians and 4 Swiss going: Most people have only one week of holidays and have booked their flights so that they can do both race weekends (23.2.-2.3.).

Afterwards my brother and me are going to the Azores (3.3.-9.3.) We dont know if it is nice to bike there and the weather might be bad but we have not been there before and so we just want to go. Flights cost 200 € from Lisbon.

If anybody wants to join something of that let me know

Hello!

I put in my blog some information about MTBO-WRE in Portugal.

You can also see all the portuguese mtbo events that I have done in current season (2007/2008).

Good to hear that Poland is also coming!

We have not booked accommodation yet. Tobias Breitschädel said that he will do it for Austria and Switzerland. I am at the moment in Czech Republic for a training camp and will be home on Sunday 3.2. Then i will think more about Portugal.

Look at "Races", Eduardo Oliveira posted something.

Here is the Link to the MTBO WRE
http://www.atv.pt/eventos/pagina/?eid=278&id=24
Somewhere in the middle of that website there is a section Training Camps.

Back again from portugal, and what to say: it was great!!

except the weather on the first weekend we had good trainings and sunny condidions. great thanks to the portuguese, especially to Luis (hope spelling is right) for the training courses.

maps were very accurate and the terrains great to ride. perfect organisation of the races and thanks to the french, swiss, hungarian and portuguese teams (not to forget us austrians) , the races were on a very high level

the races in the north near chaves were good training for the WOC in 2010, i like the terrain, hope it likes me to

hope to come again next year!!

on www.andreasrief.com will be a short report with some pics soon (in german), homepage is not totally finished yet
